Orpheus in the Underworld is a Comic Opera by Jacques Offenbach. Its most famous piece is the Can Can, a dance developed in the Moulin Rouge. The disjunction of the music matches the high energy kicks, splits and cartwheels of the dance, which is performed worldwide.
