Grieg's Music written for the play Peer Gynt make up his most widely recognised pieces, though Grieg himself detested many of them. This work, which has become synonymous with sunrise, sees the eponymous character stranded in the desert. An intense piece from the start, it's unsurprising it has become so famous.
