Smetana's Magnus Opus - Ma Vlast - is a form of Nationalist Music. This style fuses the features of late Romanticism with the folk music found in a country. The river Vltava flows through the Czech capital of Prague, and the different sections represent the huge variety in the profiles and landscapes the river flows through on its way to the Elbe.
