Considering it is one of the most famous Ballets of all time, "The Nutcracker" did not start off as a raving success. Instead, the extraction of the pieces into the "Nutcracker Suite" including this piece showcased the grand variety of music in the work, causing a revival in the 20th Century in its performance as a ballet. Today, it has become the Christmas Ballet, and is performed across the world.
