This is one of the most unusual pieces composed by Bach. We still don't understand what it's about, when it was composed, or even if it is by Bach at all. It blends elements of North and South German Organ Music, creating a unique structure and sound. Lost until the Bach Revival, it has since become one of the most famous pieces by Bach thanks to Mendelsohn and the 19th century publicists.
